Two hours. Two hours packed with quarreling, shouting, and shrieking. Zeldris and Hawks, well... they don't get along that well as (Y/N) would have heretofore assumed. Both of them were opposites with Zeldris wishing nothing more but for him and (Y/n) to talk about how they were going to love one another in the present while Hawks talked about how that was of little concern with even saying that both him and (Y/N) were not compatible at all.
This, of course, infuriated Zeldris, causing the two to quarrel endlessly much to the displeasure of (Y/N).
Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, the three arrived at the gates of Ferrer. The town, which with that (Y/N) remembered used to be one of the most lavish and purest human known village in her time, was now nothing but what looked like an abandoned wasteland at initial glance.
Looking up at the hanging sign that said in faded letters, 'FERRER', (Y/N) clapped her hands, a radiant grin on her face as she spun around to look at her other bewildered companions. "Extraordinary, isn't it? So well done! Nothings changed." (Y/n) expressed fondly, her gaze coming back to stare at the collapsing shops.
Staring ahead, both Zeldris and Hawks looked over at one another and shrugged, confused about where (Y/N) saw anything in it that could be deemed 'Extraordinary'.
"Oh, I recall arriving here for the first time and likewise being shocked. You know, with everything looking like it was run over by a Giant." (Y/N) reminisced, sharpening her nails as she dragged it across her palm, much to the shock of both Hawks and Zeldris.
"Stop, don't!"
"Are you crazy?!"
Making her nails shrink to their ordinary length (Y/N) eluded them as the two tried to tackle her, apprehensive of what she might do to herself next. Peering down at the collapsed two (Y/n) snickered. "Relax, it's just a minor wound. It'll heal in no time, see?" Revealing the two her healed palm (Y/n) knelt as she stirred her hand in the blood that fell to the ground, blending the dirt in with her blood.
"Both of you must be so confused. Though I promise you won't be for very long." (Y/N) affirmed, this bewildering the two further. "Is this some kind of blood-secret passage?" Zeldris suspected, (Y/N) putting up her blooded finger in response. "Wait."
So, wait they did. After what seemed like ten minutes (Y/N) inclined her head, puzzled about the tranquility of everything. "That's odd, I swore something was supposed to happen-" Just as she said that, all three of them shrieked in surprise as the ground beneath them caved in, forcing the three to fall along with it.
Darkness consumed their visions as the only sound that could be heard was the wailing of Hawks with some troubled yelling from Zeldris. Bonking her head, (Y/N) scoffed, irked by her foolishness. "Yeah, forgot you two were here with me." (Y/N) yelled as she tried to sound over Hawks' continuous crying. Though Zeldris didn't hear, as he was close by Hawks and didn't hope to let go because that was the only thing near him.
"(Y/N), what the hell is going on?!" Zeldris screamed, his question being heard over Hawks' screaming. Glancing over to where Zeldris was (Y/N) thrust her way through the dense pressure that was holding her back. The atmosphere was physically like honey-thick, though you could still breathe just fine as if you were outside, but couldn't move very well.
Reaching out her hand hoping to touch Zeldris, (Y/N) smirked as she felt the solid arm of Zeldris touch against her fingers. Clutching to it tenderly (Y/N) thrust herself close to him, bringing her lips near his ear making said male blush a dark red, his eyes opened wide as his seven hearts raced at such proximity to the female and of how her warm breath gasped against his cold skin sending goosebumps all over his body, the sensitivity not foreign whenever he was near the female, but still very pleasant.
"Relax your little tail about it, Zel. Everything's gonna be alright, okay? We're going to meet up with the ground real soon, and when we do remember to be compliant and try to carry out everything that they give you to fulfillment." (Y/N) comforted him, dragging away as (Y/N) felt a slight fresh breeze sweep past her legs.
"In fact, I say we're already here." Drawing the two on top of her (Y/N) let out a short 'oof' noise as her body came in contact with the crisp ground, the surrounding no longer heavy as it returned to its natural non-stifling atmosphere.
Unfolding her wings for then it can let go of the two (Y/N) nuzzled them away from her as she hastily got up, her fierce eyes scrutinizing the space as nothing could be detected but steel. Cracking her knuckles (Y/N) sighed, dropping back down on the ground next to Zeldris and Hawks as the both of them tried to get adapted to the unforeseen illumination that was contrasted to that of the pitch-black suffocating tunnel.
Blinking his dark purple eyes rapidly, Zeldris gradually got up, likewise inspecting the steel-plated room with everythingโincluding the groundโbeing made into slick, solid steel. "Where are we?" Zeldris sought in a hushed voice while walking to the side of (Y/N), his eyes settling on her dirtied back, making him quietly scourge at his negligence.
"Well," Patting away the dirt on her outfit (Y/N) fixed her hair, her (E/C) eyes set attentively on the right side of the steel-plated room. "we're in what I like to call the 'Test of the Worthy'." (Y/N) replied, walking to the right side of the room as she pounded her fist against it. Bringing her ear close to the chilly steel wall (Y/N) concentrated keenly, her movement still as she made no sound.
After a few seconds (Y/N) groaned in discontent and reared away. "Welp, guess we're stuck here until we're finally tested." (Y/N) grumbled, her back sliding against the steel wall as she glared down boredly at the ground.
Once recovering his eyesight, Hawks got up, his mind taking some time to embrace where he was, only to screech in fear of finding out that he was inside a steel-plated room. "Where are we?! Oh, momma! Help me! I've been kidnapped!" Dashing around as Hawks continued screaming (Y/N) sighed, closing her eyes as she showed to wait for something to happen.
Glancing confusedly back-and-forth at the two, Zeldris strode over towards (Y/N), not sure what to say. Peeking down at the composed female, Zeldris took the time to marvel at her features, finding her serene and poised expression to be a breath of fresh air in these obscure times. Feeling Zeldris' stares bore into her head, a tick mark showed on her forehead, already peeved at how his staring made her awkward.
"Trying to kill me with your stare? Sorry buddy, that shit doesn't work on people like me." Yawning in indifference (Y/N) idly eyed up at the flustered Zeldris as he tried to regain his composure as he didn't want to seem too much of a sissy in front of his long-time crush. No, rephrase that, his love.
"N-No, I vow that wasn't my motive. I just-!"
"Look, I don't give a damn about your objectives, so just back off and wait." Advising him on what to do Zeldris bent his head, promptly walking over to the other end of the wall and sitting rigidly down, his gaze meeting forward as he looked up at the small balls of light that were only giving them an insignificant pool of light.
"Someone, help me- Ack!" Seizing hold of Hawk's ear (Y/N) moved him to her side, giving him a brief glare to shut up. "Quiet, Hawks. They don't enjoy screaming." (Y/N) chastised him, looking away from Hawks as she forced him to sit down next to her. Obeying like a dutiful dog, Hawks instantly shut up, parking down next to her side as he instead opted to scan the room where he presently was.
"(Y/N)?" Hearing her name being called (Y/N) hummed, closing her eyes as she reclined her head to rest on the cool steel-plated wall. Hearing her sound for him to proceed, Zeldris looked over to where (Y/N) first punched, curious why her blows couldn't pierce through whatever that wall was, but kept that question saved for later.
"Um, who are 'they'?" Zeldris asked, this perked (Y/N) attention making her look over at them. "What do you mean, "who are they"?" (Y/N) queried, puzzled what possibly the male demon could be so curious about.
"You know when you said that 'they' would get mad? Yeah, who's that?" Zeldris clarified, and this time (Y/N) nodded in understanding. "I see... well, how can I explain this to you? 'They' are pretty much the only human civilization to not undergo war in their entire existence, while also being the securest place from any other race. They are called-"
Pausing as the sound of a door opened, a light turned on making all three of them look up. On the wall that all three of them were laying onโat the very topโwas a broad window showing three figures on the other side of the window, their images unseen, causing the other two to immediately become alert.
"Who's foolish enough to try an' come here withou' permission?"
